Abbott Laboratories is issuing a recall of approximately 5 million cases of Similac brand powdered infant formula due to the possibility of the presence of a beetle. The recall includes select Similac powder products in 8 oz, 12.4 oz, and 12.9 oz cans in plastic containers. It does not affect Similac ready-to-feed or concentrated baby formula or any specialty baby formulas such as Alimentum or Neosure.
