HLN Digital Fingerprinting for Kids

Cable news station HLN's Digital Fingerprinting for Kids (DFK) event is a child safety program offering free digital fingerprinting for kids around the US. Its mission to to help prevent crimes against children by providing parents with tools such as digital fingerprinting and safety tips. Each child will receive an 8 x 10 printout with their photo, fingerprints, and a place where you can list their height, weight, and hair color. The first 300 kids attending will also get a free DNA kit, safety whistle, and cobranded drawstring bag. The next 3 events will be held:

• June 1st - Arizona Science Center, Phoenix, AZ from 10am - 2pm
• June 5th - Chapel Hill Mall, Cleveland, OH from 12-4pm
• June 26th - Fisher's Freedom Festival, Indianapolis, IN, from 10am - 2pm

Having a missing child is every parent's worst nightmare. It is something we don't like to think about. However, in the rare chance that it would happen to your child, you want to be prepared. As more event locations are announced, I will update them on the site.
